A series of 4 new "MOMs" being launched with partners Earth Day Canada and Call2Recycle.

Earth Day Canada's EcoKids has partnered with Call2Recycle to host a fun new contest for students in Canada, grades K-8.
The first 3 MOMs will feature KDOONS' character Paddy The Beaver as he tries to understand what batteries are, and why proper battery recycling is so important to the ecosystem.
The final MOM is where the contest comes in. The EcoKids Battery Hero Art Contest is an opportunity for students to put their creative talents to work. To boost awareness around proper battery recycling, we’re asking students to create their battery hero: a superhero who prevents batteries from filling up our landfills. Students are asked to draw their hero and tell us about the heroic work that they do.

The contest runs from January 12 – February 27, 2015. The winning battery hero will star in a new episode of Paddy the Beaver on the Kidoons Network and be featured on ecokids.ca!
